Taint

When a player is banned, his or her computer is tainted. This taint prevents users from making the first character on an account in Bang! Howdy and Puzzle Pirates; bans and taints are shared between games. This means that when you get banned, temporarily or otherwise, on Puzzle Pirates, you can't play Bang! Howdy, unless you already had a character there. The only way to get rid of a taint is through the intervention of a Sheriff; Poseidon is presently in charge of untaintings.
