Scrip, , is the basic monetary unit of Bang! Howdy. Scrip can be earned by playing matches, bounties, or tutorials, or by selling gold coins at the bank. The amount of scrip currently in a player's possession can be seen in the lower left corner of the interface whenever the player is in a building.

There are many ways to use and lose scrip, such as buying new duds, cards and other enhancements at the general store, purchasing gold coins at the bank, changing your look at the barber shop, and buying new units at the ranch.
