Howdypedia:Speedy deletion policy
From Howdypedia, the Bang! Howdy wiki
There are a few, limited cases where pages may be speedily deleted. Non-administrators can ask for an admin to delete such a page simply by adding a {{delete}} or {{d}} tag.
A list of pages to be deleted can be found at Category:Candidates for speedy deletion.
Instead of deleting a page, sometimes it makes more sense to either revert to an older version, or turn it into a redirect
When an administrator deletes an article, he or she should leave a notice (or warning, for vandalism or repeat offenses) on the talk page of the article's creator.
[edit] Candidates for speedy deletion
- Gibberish or patent nonsense (e.g. random characters).
- Test pages (e.g., "Can I really create a page here?").
- Pure vandalism.
- Pages that clearly belong on another wiki, or are otherwise irrelevant to Howdypedia
- Stubs that contain so little information as to be less useful than no page at all.
- Vanity pages (possibly move to user page)
- Reposted content that was already deleted according to policy.
- Temporarily deleting a page in order to move a page.
- Broken redirects or ones caused by typos during a page move.
- Duplicate images
- User talk pages of non-logged in users where the message is no longer relevant (This is to avoid confusing new users who happen to edit with that same IP address.)
- Empty categories
- User and talk pages on request of the user, where there is no significant abuse, and no administrative need to retain the page.
