The Dream Catcher is a support unit. Her attacks deal very little damage (five, regardless of modifiers), but have three effects: They force the target to move away from the Dream Catcher, they reset the target's tick meter, (the Dog Soldier is immune to both of these effects) and they heal the Dream Catcher five damage points. The best cards to use with her are the Firestarter, or Hustle. Firestarter will burn the enemies, and hustle will ensure that the dreamcatcher will reset the ticks of an enemy. Sometimes the Dream Catcher does not force enemies away, but only resets their ticks. Most often when the enemy is near the edge of the board or impassible terrain.

[edit] Strategy

The Dream Catcher is best used for Wendigo Attack, where she has the ability to chase units off the safe spots and leaves them with no ticks to respond.

Combined with the Old Codger, she can wreak havoc on your opponent's tactical stratigies. You can neutralize key enemy units for long periods of time and the retreat effect keeps units away from totem pieces. It can be difficult to predict exactly how the fear effect will work.

She is one of the few units that remain useful in Warpath when the big shots get really strong. She still does 5 damage regardless of defense and resets the tick's of the big shot. This usually makes her a priority target any time she's on the field.

She is also an excellent unit to players who are often defensive, since her ability mostly focuses on the enemy's inner effect, not striking directly on them.

Her low speed and damage make her a terrible choice for Forest Guardians and Land Grab

[edit] Historical Notes

Prior to the March 6th release, the Dream Catcher had a movement of 3 squares, instead of 2.
